How to customize your emails

Personalize your email communication with clients so you can share what makes you unique with your clients.

When communicating with clients, HoneyBook wants to ensure you are able to maintain your unique voice. HoneyBook offers pre-defined email suggestions to help you begin, so you can always review and personalize your email communications. You can also create your own email templates to save you time, while still keeping all communication in your unique voice.

📚 Tip

If you're sending an email with a smart file, the formatting options will appear when you highlight the text you want to customize.

  1. Find and open the project that you'll send the email through

    1. You can use the search bar or go to the Projects tab

  2. Select the Activity tab

  3. Write your email in the email composer > customize your email by using the menu under the email's body:

    1. Change the email's subject line

    2. Format the text with bolding, italicizing, underlining, etc.

    3. Add hyperlinks to the text

      1. Note that smart fields can be used only in the body of an email; they cannot be added to the subject line

    4. Add an email signature

      1. Include a session link

  4. Preview how the email will look to the recipient by selecting the eye icon

  5. Select Send
