Email clients in a project

How to send a message to your clients through the project's activity feed

Updated today

The main way to communicate with your clients in HoneyBook is through a project. This eliminates the need to switch between HoneyBook and your email and ensures communication is tracked in one place.

Start a new message thread

  1. Find and open the project you'd like to send an message in

    1. You can search using the search bar, or find the project from your pipeline

  2. Select the Activity tab of the project

  3. Click the Reply to:/Sent to: field to open the email composer

  4. Select Send New Email

  5. From the Send to: field, set the message recipients. You can:

    • Keep as-is

    • Select the plus (+) sign to add a new project participant who will receive the message

    • Click the X by a recipient's name to remove them from the message

  6. Choose when to send the message:

    1. Send immediately: Select Send

      • If you need to undo the send, you can click Undo for up to 5 seconds after you select Send

    2. Schedule the message for later: Select the dropdown next to the Send button > Schedule send

The recipients will get your message in their email inboxes and it will also appear in the project's activity feed.

📣 Note

Replying to a message/email threading is only possible if you've integrated your email with HoneyBook.

  1. Locate the message you'd like to reply to and click the Reply to this message icon

    1. This will open a new draft message along the thread in the email composer

  2. From the Reply to: field, set the message recipients. You can:

    • Keep as-is

    • Select the plus (+) sign to add a new project participant who will receive the message

    • Click the X by a recipient's name to remove them from the message

  3. Choose when to send the message:

    1. Send immediately: Select Send

      • If you need to undo the send, you can click Undo for up to 5 seconds after you select Send
