Templates help you work faster in HoneyBook by saving your commonly used contracts, pricing guides, questionnaires, and smart files. Once saved, you can reuse or edit them at any time—keeping your client experience consistent and efficient.
This article covers how to manage and use templates across your account, including working with multiple brands, sharing responsibly, and understanding what happens when you make changes.
Understanding templates in HoneyBook
Templates let you standardize your client documents, including:
Smart files such as contracts, proposals, questionnaires, and brochures
Email templates for consistent communication and quick replies
Pricing and packages to save frequently used services and rates
Each company or brand under your HoneyBook account has its own unique set of templates, ensuring your designs and details stay brand-specific.
📚 Tip
To learn how to create, organize, or share templates, check out these resources:
Manage templates across multiple companies
If you run multiple brands in HoneyBook, you can maintain a separate template library for each. This helps keep your client experience tailored by company.
Currently, templates can’t be copied automatically between brands—but our Support team can help:

The company it’s under

📚 Tips
Projects and Library images can’t be copied between companies—only templates
If you need to change which company is your primary company, see Switch between companies in your HoneyBook account
Share templates with other business owners
You can share templates publicly with other business owners to collaborate or inspire. When you make a template public, others can preview and save it to their accounts.
You can edit or deactivate your public template at any time
Anyone who previously saved it will still have the old version unless they revisit your link and re-save
If you delete a shared template, anyone who tries to open it will see a message that it’s unavailable
To learn how to share templates safely, visit Share templates publicly.
Make changes to your templates
When you update a template:
Edits are saved automatically as you work
Changes only appear in the live version once you choose to apply them
If your template is shared publicly, others won’t see updates until they re-save your link
This gives you flexibility to refine your content without affecting what others see right away.
Sell or monetize templates
You can sell HoneyBook templates you’ve created, as long as you:
Own the rights to all included content (images, text, assets)
Follow the terms of the marketplace or platform you sell on
Only sell templates you’ve created from scratch—avoid using client-specific or copyrighted material
