How to share templates you've created through a direct link

Updated this week

Share templates with your fellow HoneyBook members as well as non-members through a link you can generate within HoneyBook. Your templates can be made available through a direct link, which you can deactivate at any time.

📣 Note

This article covers how to share your templates with other HoneyBook members and non-members. If you're looking to share a public file with a potential lead or client, consider using a lead form. If you're sharing a file through a client project, please note the file can't be shared publicly and must only be sent to the project participants.

Share your template

Templates can be shared through desktop or your mobile device’s web browser.

  1. From the navigation menu, select Templates > File templates

  2. Find the template you want to make public

  3. Select the three-dot icon on that template > Share template

  4. Turn on Activate share link

  5. Copy the link, then place it where you want

    • These links can be shared anywhere you normally share links and content—on your personal website, social media channel, within your communities, or with peers and friends

    • Anyone with the link will be able to use the template in their HoneyBook account

📚 Tip

If your template is saved by a non-member and they sign up for HoneyBook, you can earn up to $100 USD through the existing referral program.

Deactivate link to stop sharing

If you want to take your template offline, you can deactivate the link. When you do this, anyone who has the link to the template will no longer be able to access it.

  1. From your navigation menu, select Templates > File templates

  2. Find the template you want to take offline

  3. Select the three-dot icon on that template > Share template

  4. Turn off Activate share link

Your template will now be offline and no longer accessible by anyone who has the link.
