What's new at HoneyBook for February 2023

Updated over a month ago

Task management

The HoneyBook task management page has a whole new look & feel. We’ve updated our backend for faster task management, and streamlined the front end of your task management page for easier viewing and task prioritization.

With just a click, you can assign tasks to team members or kick off tasks within a project. No more confusion or stress over cluttered to do lists—we’ve made it simpler and easier to organize all the little tasks that add up to a smooth clientflow.

If you suddenly remember a task on the go, we’ve also added smooth task management right from your HoneyBook app. No need to worry about finding a pen and paper to remember an important task! We know your life is dynamic and things change, so our mobile app has been updated to support your task management needs. You can manage tasks on the go from the tasks page, or directly from your project.

View your team, all in one place

Collaboration is top of mind for many of our members. In order to make teamwork easier, we’re taking steps to improve the way teams manage and view tasks and projects. We’ve added a new column for your projects, so that you can see which team members are associated. If you’re an account owner or admin user, you’ll also be able to select “view all” for any team member, in order to see all of their projects in one glance.

Our Education team has written a detailed guide on how to use this new view.

Pros Managed Access

If you’re working with a HoneyBook Pro to set up your account, we’ve made some changes to give them access in a faster, more secure way.

Now, when a Pro requests access to your account you will receive an email notification with the address you use to login to HoneyBook. From there, you’ll be prompted to enter your account and you can grant your Pro access through the “Team” tab. Simple as that!

Updated default settings for gratuity

In HoneyBook’s legacy files, any gratuity (or tip) line item in your invoice was automatically switched to on. In smart files, we had changed that behavior to off and allowed you to turn it on if you wished. However, we’ve heard that the previous behavior was a better fit for your businesses’ needs. So, we listened! Gratuity will now be turned on by default on all smart files that include the option for your client to leave you a tip.
