One way to make your client experience in HoneyBook more inclusive is by asking for and providing pronouns. We'll cover how to request your clients' pronouns, and share your own, in this article.
Ask on your contact form
From the top navigation bar, click Clients > Contact forms
Choose an existing form to work from
Alternatively, create a new one by clicking the form icon in the sidebar > Add Contact Form
From your contact form, click the plus (+) button to add a block > select the Questions tab within the block selector
Select the Custom question type and your preferred question format
We suggest using the short text format so your client can manually enter their pronouns and not be limited to pre-determined options
Enter the text of your question
Click the gear icon that appears when you hover over a question to toggle whether or not the question is required
If you’d like, enter placeholder text directly below your question
This will appear to your leads in the answer field before they start typing
Your changes will automatically save to your template. If you’ve already published your contact form, select Publish Changes. If you haven’t published your form yet, follow the steps here to make sure it’s visible to leads.
Provide your pronouns in your email signature
From the top navigation bar, click the Templates > File Templates
Select Email Signature from the list of template options on the left side of the screen
Here, you’ll see the Default Signature that we’ve created for you, or the custom email signature you already created
Click on the template to open the template editor
Type directly into the template editor to add your pronouns
