Send yourself a test file

How to send a test version of a smart file to yourself to preview the client experience.

Updated over a month ago

Sending yourself a test smart file will let you confirm what your files will look like from your client's perspective. Check for any areas you to ensure they reflect the experience you want your client to have, and uncover issues before they make it to your client.

Send a test smart file from your desktop

When you're done building/editing your smart file, you can send a test smart file two ways:

  1. From the top menu, select the three dot icon > select Send test

  2. Select the drop-down menu next to Share > select Send test file (if you're building a smart file from the project workspace)

Adjust the test email copy (or choose a different email template) and then select Send Test.

From here, the test email and test smart file will appear in your email inbox. You can click through each page of the smart file, and should review every part of it to make sure the smart file meets your standards. Nothing will be saved or changed if you opt to fill it out.

If you need to make any changes, return to the builder. If you're happy with the smart file, share it with your client.
