Bulk update projects through the pipeline

How to use bulk actions to update multiple projects at once

Bulk actions in your pipeline allow you to take an action in multiple projects at once. These actions include sending emails, moving stages, adding team members, and adding or removing project tags.


Send a bulk email

Follow the steps outlined in this article.


Move stages, delete, or archive

  1. From the navigation menu, click the Projects tab

  2. Make sure that you're in the pipeline view of just your projects—not a team member's, or "View all"

  3. Make sure your current pipeline view is of the one you'd like to update

  4. Once in your selected list of projects, hover over a project and check the box that appears to the left of the project name

    • This will make your bulk action options visible

  5. Check the boxes of the additional projects you want to take the action in

    • You can also check the box at the top of the column to select all projects in the list you're viewing

  6. Click one of the bulk action icons to choose what you’d like to do with these projects:

    • Move projects to another pipeline stage

    • Delete projects from your HoneyBook account

      • If a project contains a file on which a payment has been made, the project cannot be deleted

    • Archive projects

      • Archiving projects hides them from your main pipeline and pauses any HoneyBook notifications, payment reminders, and/or automated payments

  7. Depending on which action you take, you may need to:

    • Select the pipeline stage to which you’ll move your projects

    • Select the reason for archiving your projects

    • Confirm you’d like to delete your projects​


Add team members to a project

  1. From the navigation menu, click the Projects tab

  2. Make sure that you're in the pipeline view of just your projects—not a team member's, or "View all"

  3. Make sure your current pipeline view is of the one you'd like to update

  4. Once in your selected list of projects, hover over a project and check the box that appears to the left of the project name

    • This will make your bulk action options visible

  5. Check the boxes of the additional projects you want to add team members to

    • You can also check the box at the top of the column to select all projects in the list you're viewing

  6. Click the Add team members icon

  7. Select the team member(s) you'd like to add to the projects > Add Member


Add or remove project tags

  1. From the navigation menu, click the Projects tab

  2. Make sure that you're in the pipeline view of just your projects—not a team member's, or "View all"

  3. Make sure your current pipeline view is of the one you'd like to update

  4. Once in your selected list of projects, hover over a project and check the box that appears to the left of the project name. This will make your bulk action options visible

  5. Check the boxes of the additional projects you want to adjust the tags for

    • You can also check the box at the top of the column to select all projects in the list you're viewing

  6. Select the tag icon

  7. Depending on if you'd like to bulk add or remove tags, select either:

    • Choose which tags to add...

    • Chose which tags to remove....

  8. Click the tags drop-down > check off the tag(s) that you’d like to add or remove from the select projects

  9. Click the ADD or REMOVE button to confirm your action
