How clients interact with contracts in a smart file

See how your clients will complete contracts you include in your smart file.

In smart files, clients can review and fill out interactive contracts. If there are any required fields (marked with Client Must Fill), clients will be prompted to enter the necessary information before they can sign the contract. Clients can also edit information in fields you've marked as Client Can Edit.

After reviewing and filling in the necessary fields, clients can add a legally binding signature to their contract by clicking or tapping on the signature line. They have the option to type or draw their signature and can sign from any device. Learn more about using smart files for contracts.

๐Ÿ“ฃ Note

If you've marked a contract's signature as required and included an invoice after the contract, your client must sign the contract before they can send payments. Your client will not be able to access the invoice until after they sign the contract.
