Content in smart files FAQs

Answers to commonly asked questions around adding content to smart files in HoneyBook.

Updated over 2 months ago

My client's file isn't being accepted by the file upload block. What should we do?

If your client needs to upload a file that's larger than 15MB, here are a few suggestions:

  • Ask them to upload the file to a repository service (e.g., Dropbox or Google Drive and send you that link using another field in your smart file

  • Have them reply back via email to include any needed attachments

  • Ask them to upload directly to their client portal (inside the project, the client will see a large UPLOAD button)

Also note that PDF uploads are not currently supported in file upload blocks in lead forms.

Can my client delete a file after uploading it?

Clients cannot remove files they've uploaded unless you edit the smart file that includes the upload block.

Is there a character limit for the short text or long text response fields?

There currently is not a character limit for either the short text or long text response fields.
