Client workspace FAQs

Answers to frequently-asked questions about the client workspace, how it's different from projects, and what shows up in it.

Updated this week

What is the client workspace?

The client workspace offers a centralized place to track and manage activity with a specific lead or client. You can view all email communication, all client payments (completed, upcoming, or overdue), create and send files and emails for that contact, add new projects, and more.

What's the difference between client workspaces and projects?

Projects help you keep job-specific details, files, and invoices organized. Projects might contain files and communication that are sent to multiple clients, or just one, depending on the job.

Client workspaces give you an overview of one specific lead or client's history with you. They help you manage the specific ongoing client relationships that are crucial to many businesses.

What will and will not show in the Communication tab of the client workspace?

What will show:

  • All previous email communication sent in all projects that the lead/client is added to (with the exceptions listed in the next column)

What will not show:

  • Emails sent in projects in which the lead/client is added as a collaborator

  • Emails sent in projects from which the lead/client has been removed as a participant

  • Inquiry email from lead form or contact form

  • Session notifications and reminders
