Linking your accounts and cards allows HoneyBook to aggregate your balances and spending, giving you a clear view of your financial situation. Monitoring all your bank account balances and card expenses in one place helps you understand your business’s financial health and make more informed decisions.
Link external bank account or card
One of the first steps you can take to seeing your financial health all in one place is to link your external bank accounts or cards to HoneyBook. You’ll link the accounts or cards from the "Financial tracker" section of the Finance Overview page.
From the navigation menu, select Finance > Overview
In the "Financial tracker" section, select + Link account
Link your account through Plaid. HoneyBook doesn't store your account credentials.
Visit Plaid’s help center to resolve any error messages you get at this step.
Once you finish linking your account, it should appear in the "Financial tracker" section
View specific account balances
After linking a bank account or card, you can view its balance in the "Financial tracker" section. If you connect an external bank, all your accounts with that bank and their balances will be displayed. Each account will be listed under the bank, and the total balance will be displayed next to the bank name.
Relink accounts or cards
If there was an interruption between Plaid and your linked account, HoneyBook will notify you when you land on the Finance Overview page.
In the "Financial tracker" section, find the unlinked account or card
Hover over the unlinked account or card, then select RECONNECT
Go through Plaid’s process to relink your account
Rename linked account or card
You can give a nickname to any account or card you link to help you remember what they’re for.
In the "Financial tracker" section, find the account or card you want to rename
Hover over the account or card, then select the triple-dot icon > select Rename
Enter the nickname, then select Save
Delete linked account or card
You can remove linked accounts or cards at any time. If you choose to do this, the account or card you delete will no longer be factored into your financial snapshot.
In the "Financial tracker" section, find the account or card you want to rename
Hover over the account or card, then select the triple-dot icon > Delete
Read the warning message, then select Delete
