FAQ: Process mapping

Answers to commonly asked questions around process mapping in HoneyBook.

Updated over a week ago

What if I have multiple services I want to map?

A best practice is to create a step-by-step guide for each service that has its own process, and create them in HoneyBook one by one. It can be difficult to make progress if you try to create multiple guides simultaneously, so focus on one guide and one step at a time. Setting up these guides will benefit your business, clients, and future self.

Take the process mapping quiz for each service that has a different process. Even minor differences, like whether you need to deposit money or have two meetings instead of three, can affect what you need from HoneyBook and what actions you should take to ensure your work flows smoothly.

Can I make any changes to a process map once it's created?

You currently can't make any changes to a process map. If you want to change the process map, take the quiz again.

Can I add steps into my process that the map didn't mention?

The process map is your source of truth when you're building out your business processes in HoneyBook, so you should match it as closely as possible. Once you're set up with managing your business with HoneyBook, you can then consider experimenting with other features to see if they're helpful to you, your clients, or your team.

If you notice the process map no longer fits with what you need to do to run your business, though, take the quiz again to get an updated process map and see what features would be most valuable to you.
