Learn how to import your contacts into your HoneyBook account.

Updated this week

Whether you’re booking your first client or joining HoneyBook hundreds of clients deep, we aim to make it easy to get those connections imported and recorded in HoneyBook.

Once your contacts have been added, you can access your full list under the Contacts page.

📣 Note

For teams with multiple members:

  • Moderators, Admins, Super Admins, and Account Owners can see all team contacts.

  • Basic team members can only see contacts they’ve added or share a project with.

  • Private contact notes are private and visible only to the team member who wrote them.

Add individual contacts

📚 Tip

If turned on, HoneyBook AI will automatically gather and add additional contact details, social links, and more to the new contacts you add. Learn more about lead enrichment.

Before you add a contact, think about if you want to create a project too. Projects are the building blocks that support HoneyBook's range of features. Within a project, you can create and send files, communicate with clients by email, track your time and tasks, and perform even more functions. For a client named Betsy, a project could be called something like, “Betsy’s Wedding."

  3. Click Add

You've now created both a client and a project, and you'll be taken right to the project workspace. From here, you can update the project details and start sending out emails and files.
