Cha-ching–you just created and shared your first invoice! Your client will receive the file and be able to proceed through payment.
Once your client pays, you’ll receive an email notice as well as a notification in HoneyBook in your notification center. The processing time and fees will vary based on how your client paid.
Credit card payment
Credit card payments take about 2-3 business days to reach your account, and they incur a transaction fee of 2.9% of payment + 25 cents (Cardholder Entered payment) or 3.4% of payment + 9 cents (Card on File payment).
ACH bank transfer payment
ACH bank transfer payments take about 7-8 business days to reach your account, since the funds need to clear your client’s bank first. All ACH bank transfer payments incur a flat 1.5% transaction fee.
You can keep tabs on the payment’s status via the project or invoice file itself, or you can get a bird’s-eye view of all client payments from your Bookkeeping tool.
