Under each project’s Project Details, you’ll be able to select whether the project will affect your availability for session scheduling. This is a great tool to use if you're using a large range for a project date and still want the option to meet with other clients during that time.
PLEASE NOTE: The availability that you set affects a project only once booked (contract signed and/or payment made). While a project is tentative (not booked), clients will still be able to schedule sessions during the project date, even if the project is marked as Busy.
As a default setting, all projects are set to Busy. You can always adjust availability on a project-by-project basis, which we'll cover below!
To adjust a project’s scheduling availability:
1. Locate the project in question and click to open: you can search via the search icon in the top left corner of your Home page, or select the Projects tab to review your full list of projects.
2. Once in the project’s workspace, click the Details tab.
3. Locate the primary project date or date range you’ve set. Under the availability drop-down, set your availability for session scheduling by selecting Free or Busy.
HoneyBook Tip: If you’ve added additional dates and times for the project, those won’t affect your availability – you’ll always be marked as Free during those times. The availability drop-down impacts only your primary project date or date range.
If you set the project as Free, clients will always be able to schedule sessions with you during the project date
If you set the project as Busy, you will not show availability during the project date once the project is booked (contract signed and/or payment made)
PLEASE NOTE: Your selection will also apply to the availability of other team members and vendors who are part of the project.
Once you update a project’s availability, you’ll be able to view the project in your HoneyBook Calendar with the selected availability marked. If the project is booked, your session scheduling availability will update immediately, too!
