How to print and and download PDFs of your files.

Updated over 2 months ago

Sometimes you just need a hard copy! Fortunately, both you and your clients can print smart files, or save them as PDFs.

Print or download an entire smart file

  1. Use the search bar or select Projects from the top navigation menu to find the project that holds the smart file you want to print or save

    1. If you want to print or save a template instead, select Templates from the top navigation menu > select File templates

  2. Once you're in the project workspace/looking at your templates, find and open the file you want to print or save

  3. From the top menu, select the triple-dot icon > select Print file

  4. From here, printing or saving the file looks different:

    1. For printing: Make any changes to the settings > select Print

    2. For saving: Set the printer destination to Save as PDF > select Save

Print or download just contracts, invoices, or service selections

To print or download a selected portion of a smart file page, you and your clients can save contracts, invoices, and service selections without any additional content.

  1. Use the search bar or select Projects from the top navigation menu to find the project that holds the smart file you want to print or save

    1. If you want to print or save a template instead, select Templates from the top navigation menu > select File templates

    1. If you want to save the page, set the printer destination to Save as PDF > select Save

Print or download client responses

If your sent smart file contains client responses (for example, answers to questions, a scheduled session, service selections), you’ll have the option to print the responses, or save them as a PDF, separately.

  1. Use the search bar or select Projects from the top navigation menu to find the project that holds the smart file you want to print or save

  2. Once you're in the project workspace, find and open the File Summary for the file you want to print or save

  3. Find the Responses section > select Print Responses

How clients can print or download smart files

When your client is looking at a smart file, they can select the triple-dot icon > print or save specific pages or specific parts of a page (like the contract). Printing or saving the entire smart file isn't currently available for clients.
