Each project in your pipeline is unique and important, but it can be difficult to keep track of all the details. That's why it's crucial to use a questionnaire to gather information from clients. To save you time and effort, your questionnaire file templates are converted to smart files. However, you can also access your original legacy questionnaire templates in the Legacy Files tab of the Templates section.
Along with the updated templates, you can still add different question types, connect answers to project details, mark questions as required, and include text and images. These features are available even with the improvements of smart files.
Locate and send a questionnaire smart file
If you're looking to send a questionnaire that HoneyBook already updated for you, you'll start in your My Templates page.
From the top navigation menu, select Templates > select File templates
You can find your original templates in the Legacy Files tab of your templates page
Select the Questions filter
Open the template you want to send
From here, you can update the questions or other parts of the smart file. Learn how to share a smart file.
✅ Note
If you want to create a questionnaire smart file from scratch, you'll want to include a question block. Learn more about building smart files. You can also refer to HoneyBook's template gallery to get inspiration or a starting point for your own brochures.
Legacy questionnaire files vs smart files
Just like your legacy questionnaire files, you can create attractive, straightforward questionnaires using smart files. When creating a questionnaire, smart files will allow you all the same options as legacy files, including the ability to:
Add a header image
Add a variety of question types (short answer, multiple choice, drop-down, etc.)
Make certain questions required
Link responses to project details fields
Add text
What's new with smart files?
Instead of using individual documents and emails, you can create a smart file that combines questions, content, and videos. You can also customize the file's appearance with branding options and add more content. However, you can still keep things simple by sending a single-action file with questions to answer, just like you did with your previous questionnaire files.
