We'll help you get started by transferring your existing contracts, pricing, and questionnaires into HoneyBook for you!

Get your existing business documents transferred into HoneyBook when you subscribe to HoneyBook. After a few minutes of work from you, HoneyBook will begin converting your existing documents to smart files, getting you up and running within 72 hours of subscribing.


What is the free file transformation service?

The file transformation service allows you to easily send existing business documentation to into HoneyBook. These files will get added to your HoneyBook account as templates, saving you time and effort in setting up your account.

You can send in pricing, packages, service lists, contract language, lead and client questionnaires, and a completed spreadsheet (provided by HoneyBook) with your existing clients and open invoices. Use these formats: .doc, .pdf, .jpg, .png, .xls, and .txt files.

No matter where you are in the development process of your pricing, services, contracts, or questionnaires, HoneyBook is here to help. Once your materials are set up, you can easily edit them as needed. Having everything in one place will save you from starting from scratch.


How do I upload materials?

Once you've subscribed to HoneyBook, go to your account setup. If you can't reach this page, contact support by selecting the question mark icon on any HoneyBook page.

When HoneyBook receives your documents, they'll get converted into templates. You'll get an email when your materials were successfully transferred.


Where can I find my materials once they've been transferred?

Once your materials are done transferring into HoneyBook, you'll find them on your My Templates screen. You can get there by selecting Templates > select File templates from the top navigation menu.


What documents can the team set up for me?

HoneyBook can complete this service to help transform:

Here's what information might be helpful for each type of template.

Pricing:

  • Existing brochures

  • Existing proposals

  • Any documents that detail the prices of your items or pricing packages

Contracts:

  • Old contracts/agreements or contract language you've used or intend to use

Questionnaires:

  • Sets of questions you've sent to your clients or directed your clients to fill out

  • New lists of questions that you may want to send in the future

  • Screenshots of Google forms, websites, or anything else that has been used to qualify leads or collect client information

And remember, even if your documents aren’t totally perfect yet, that’s okay. We can upload what you have to get the ball rolling, and you can make edits to your pricing and package templates, smart files, and projects we set up whenever you’re ready.


Does anything need to be in a certain format?

Each document that you upload must be 15mb or less, and HoneyBook can take up to 10 of each document type.

Since your business lives in different places and formats, you can send your files in these formats: .doc, .pdf, .jpg, .png, .xls, and .txt files.


What if I'm a brand new business?

If you’re totally starting from scratch, that’s okay—you don’t need to upload anything yet. Take your time and use the uploader whenever you’re ready.

And remember: you don’t need to use this service to use HoneyBook, or even to be successful. It’s here to help save you some time and hit the ground running, but you can always DIY it. Pricing and package templates, smart files, and projects are easy for you to create.


Can I transfer files directly from my current service to HoneyBook?

There isn't a way to directly push your account information from another platform to HoneyBook, but you'll likely be able to export your information or save documents as PDFs from wherever they're currently housed. Once you've extracted the materials you need, you can upload them for our team.

Can this service be used more than once?

You can send in 3 uploads in total. Once you've uploaded your first round of documents, you'll have 14 days to upload any additional documents you need.

Don't worry though. HoneyBook won't leave you hanging after the initial set-up. The team is always happy to walk you through creating pricing and package templates, smart files, and projects in the future, or answer any other questions that arise.


How much does this service cost?

Nothing! This is a free service that comes with your membership—HoneyBook's gift to you to help you get started. As soon as you become a subscribed HoneyBook member, you can get the ball rolling.


Is it okay if I want to set up my account myself?

Absolutely! HoneyBook was built to be user-friendly from the start—file transformation is merely an added benefit to take some of the burden off your plate. If you don't quite have everything together yet (or you'd rather just control the process yourself), you can totally DIY it. Pricing and package templates, smart files, and projects are easy to create.

And remember, you have access to a robust help center, video tutorials, and Support team will always be on standby should you have any questions.
