Automations

Customizable workflows that can automatically perform tasks like sending emails, creating tasks, and moving pipeline stages based on prerequisites you set. HoneyBook automations are available to Essentials and Premium plan members.

Client

An individual or business that has booked a project with you, meaning they have signed a contract and/or made a payment, establishing a working relationship with you.

Invoice

A document that requests payment for services or goods provided to a client.

Lead

An early-stage, potential client. Someone interested in your products or services, but who has not yet booked (signed a contract or made payment).

Lead form

Customized booking forms that you can share with anyone through a public link. These forms can be used to determine if someone is a potential customer, to inform you of the services they want, and even to schedule appointments and take payments.

Pipeline

A visual representation of your client project flow. Essentially, a series of stages that tracks the progress of each client from the initial inquiry through to completion.

Project

Projects are the building blocks that support HoneyBook's range of features. Within a project, you can create and send files, communicate with clients by email, track your time and tasks, and perform even more functions.

Scheduler

A tool that helps users schedule meetings and gather client information. It's an extension of the HoneyBook Calendar.

Session

A pre-defined time slot that you set up for clients to book with you.

Smart field

A dynamic placeholder within a contract, email, or other document that automatically pulls in specific client or project information from your Honeybook database, eliminating the need to manually re-enter details for each new project or client.

Smart file

A customizable document that combines multiple elements of a client interaction, like questionnaires, contracts, invoices, and service selection. They enable you to customize everything from visuals to automation, ensuring that they align with your brand and business processes.

Template

A pre-designed, customizable version of a client-facing document like a proposal, contract, invoice, or questionnaire, which you can use as a starting point to quickly create new documents for each client, saving you time by not having to build everything from scratch.
