HoneyBook’s AI automations builder helps you create customized, AI-built automations that save you time by:
Not having to start an automation from scratch
Removing the need for you to tackle your workflows manually
Tell the chat what you want your automation to do by freely describing what you want to automate. It will handle the technical setup and generate a fully built automation tailored to your needs.
Create an automation with AI
To build an automation using the AI automations builder:
From the navigation menu, click Automations
Click Automations 2.0
Click Create with AI
From here, you can interact with the AI chat and direct it to build your desired automation
The AI will present a text-based preview of the automation structure for your approval
Send any changes and approve the structure in the chat once you’re ready
Once the automation structure is approved, HoneyBook AI will get started building the automation workflow in your account; you’ll receive a notification as soon as it’s ready
Click the notification to be brought to the automations builder, where you’ll need to prepare the automation to run
💡 Note
Once an automation is built by the AI builder, you can’t edit it via chat. If you need to edit an automation, let the chat know. The AI will guide you on how to make changes.
Prepare an AI-built automation to run
Before you start running your AI-created automation, there are a few steps you can take to ensure it’s ready to go.
The AI chat will prompt you to take these steps, but here’s how to work through a few of them:
Add a template: If you’re sending an email, questionnaire, or other file through an AI-built automation, check to see if there are missing template selections and add them as needed
Project types: Decide if the automation should run for all project types, or just some. You can customize project types in the builder.
Manual approval: You can set actions in the automation to require manual approval.
Activate the automation: The most important step! You must activate your AI-built automation before it can start running.
Best practices
The AI automations builder’s accuracy depends on the quality of the input provided. Be as specific and clear as you can when prompting. The more information the chat can gather from you, the better it can build your automation.
Here's an example of a helpful prompt:
“I want to build an automation for wedding photography. Start it when a client submits a lead form, then send the client an email and questionnaire. Wait for a reply. If there is no reply, send a reminder after 3 days.”
💡 Note
The chat interface used to build an AI automation can only be used for chats related to building automations. For other topics, start a new chat.
