How to access and get the most out of the HoneyBook AI chat experience

HoneyBook’s AI-powered chat experience lives right inside your HoneyBook account. It can help you brainstorm ideas, uncover insights, and spot new opportunities—fast.


Access and use HoneyBook AI

With the HoneyBook AI icon

  1. From any page, select HoneyBook AI button HoneyBook AI in the top-right corner

  2. Select New conversation button New conversation

    • It's a best practice to start a new conversation whenever you change topics. You can always go back to a previous conversation—learn more about viewing your chat history.

  3. Either:

    • Select Inspire me button Inspire me to generate prompt ideas, then choose one to send, or

    • Enter a new question, then select Send button Send or press Enter to submit it

  4. HoneyBook AI will provide a reply directly in the chat window

    • You can rate each response by selecting Good response button Good response or Negative response button Negative response

From your homepage

  1. Go to your HoneyBook homepage

  2. From the top of the page, either:

    1. Enter a question into the chat

    2. Choose one of the suggested prompts

  3. Select Send button Send, or press Enter to submit your message

  4. HoneyBook AI will provide a reply directly in the chat window

HoneyBook AI's chat experience on the homepage is currently being rolled out in batches. If you don't see it in your account yet, you should see it soon.

View your chat history

  1. From any page, select HoneyBook AI button HoneyBook AI in the top-right corner

  2. Select Chat history button Chat history

  3. Your chat history will appear. From here, you can:

    1. Use the search bar to search through your conversations

    2. Hover and select the More actions menu icon three-dot menu icon by a conversation > Rename or Delete

    3. Select a previous conversation to open it in the chat

Who has access to the HoneyBook AI chat experience?

At this time, the HoneyBook AI chat experience is available:

  • To account owners and super admins only

  • On desktop and mobile

  • On all pricing plans

Is there a limit to how much I can ask HoneyBook AI?

Yes, you can only send 100 messages per day to HoneyBook AI.

How is HoneyBook AI different from the Support chat?

You’ll notice that there are 2 chat experiences in your account:

  1. HoneyBook AI button HoneyBook AI excels at providing instant business insights and answers to product questions—it’s set up already knowing you and your business

  2. HoneyBook Support chat button HoneyBook’s Support chat is equipped with instant support as well, through the HoneyBook Support bot. The Support chat is also your direct line to our Support team, which you can reach by entering “Talk to a person.”

How does HoneyBook AI work?

HoneyBook AI is built upon a blend of proprietary machine learning (ML) models and integrations. You'll always know when AI is being used in HoneyBook, with clear information on when and where it's generating results. Whenever possible, we'll also explain what data is being used to generate an output, so you know what’s happening behind the scenes.

What data does HoneyBook AI use, and how is mine protected?

Can I opt out of HoneyBook AI?

Yes, HoneyBook AI is fully optional. You don’t have to engage with HoneyBook AI if you'd prefer not to use it. If you’d like to get HoneyBook AI completely removed from your HoneyBook account, contact our Support team by selecting the Question Mark icon, then entering “Talk to a person.”

What are some tips to get the most out of HoneyBook AI?

HoneyBook AI is designed to enhance productivity and streamline workflows, but its accuracy depends on the complexity of the task and the quality of the input provided. Here’s what you need to know:

  • Context matters: AI performs best when given clear, detailed, and specific instructions. Vague or ambiguous prompts may result in less accurate or generic outputs.

  • AI-generated content isn't perfect: While it can generate professional-quality responses, summaries, and recommendations, it may still produce errors, outdated information, or unintended biases

  • Always review before use: You're responsible for reviewing and verifying AI-generated content

  • Continuous improvement: HoneyBook AI is continuously updated to enhance performance, but it doesn't replace professional judgment, human creativity, or legal or financial expertise
