How to access and get the most out of the AI chat

HoneyBook’s AI-powered chat experience lives right inside your HoneyBook account. It can help you brainstorm ideas, uncover insights, and spot new opportunities—fast.

HoneyBook AI’s chat is currently being rolled out to all users. If you would like access and don’t already have it, please reach out in the HoneyBook Community.


Access and use the AI chat

  1. From any page, click the HoneyBook AI icon

  2. Either:

    • Select one of the pre-populated questions

      📚 Tip

      Click the lightbulb icon to refresh the inspiration prompts.

    • Type in a new question and select the send arrow or enter on your keyboard

HoneyBook AI will provide a reply directly in the chat window. You can rate each response by selecting the thumbs up or thumbs down icon.

You can ask the AI chat anything about:

  • Your projects

    • Example: How much did I earn from my project "Alex Lewis Birthday"?

  • Content creation ideas

    • Example: What is a good Instagram caption to announce that I am offering a special package for the holidays?

  • How to use HoneyBook

    • Example: How do I create an automation?

  • Account setup

    • Example: What should I set up first in my account?

  • Business advice

    • Example: What are some strategies for me to earn more from my HoneyBook referral link?

At this time, the AI chat cannot:

  • Answer questions about your membership

  • Complete actions on your behalf

HoneyBook AI can make mistakes, so it’s always best to validate the replies.

Who has access to the AI chat experience?

At this time, the HoneyBook AI chat experience is available:

  • To account owners only

  • On desktop only

  • On all pricing plans

Team members do not have access to the AI chat, and it is not currently available on mobile.

How is HoneyBook’s AI chat different from the support chat?

You’ll notice that there are two chat experiences in your account: HoneyBook’s AI chat (located to the top right corner of your screen) and the support chat (located under the question mark icon).

:ai-chat: HoneyBook’s AI chat excels at providing instant business insights and answers to product questions–it’s set up already knowing you and your business.

HoneyBook’s support chat is equipped with instant support as well, through the HoneyBook Support bot. The support chat is also your direct line to our support team, which you can reach by chatting in, “Talk to a person.”

How does HoneyBook AI work?

HoneyBook AI is built upon a blend of proprietary ML models and integrations. You'll always know when AI is being used on HoneyBook, with clear information on when and where it's generating a result. Whenever possible, we will also explain what data is being used to generate an output, so you know what’s happening behind the scenes.

What data does HoneyBook AI use, and how is mine protected?

HoneyBook AI features are designed with user privacy and data security top of mind. Our data is processed in compliance with industry standards and we do not use personally identifiable information to generate AI outputs. HoneyBook AI will not take action on your behalf without your approval and you can turn off our AI features at your discretion. For more information about our privacy policy, please visit this page.

Can I opt out of the AI chat?

Yes, AI in HoneyBook is fully optional. You don’t have to engage with the AI chat if you prefer not to use it. If you’d like to get it completely removed from your account, reach out to our Support team by clicking the question mark “?” icon and chatting in, “Talk to a person.”

What are some tips to get the most out of HoneyBook AI?

HoneyBook AI is designed to enhance productivity and streamline workflows, but its accuracy depends on the complexity of the task and the quality of the input provided. Here’s what you need to know:

  • Context matters: AI performs best when given clear, detailed, and specific instructions. Vague or ambiguous prompts may result in less accurate or generic outputs.

  • AI-generated content is not perfect: While it can generate professional-quality responses, summaries, and recommendations, it may still produce errors, outdated information, or unintended biases.

  • Always review before use: You are responsible for reviewing and verifying AI-generated content.

  • Continuous improvement: HoneyBook AI is continuously updated to enhance performance, but it does not replace professional judgment, human creativity, or legal/financial expertise.
