How to permanently delete projects from your account

Updated this week

Deleting a project will permanently remove the workspace, as well as all files and communication associated with it. Only use this option if you're sure there's nothing in the project you need to save. Consider archiving projects instead, which will remove the projects from your "ACTIVE PROJECTS" list but keep the information accessible in your account.

If you do want to permanently delete a project, follow the steps below.

From the project pipeline

  1. From the navigation menu, select Projects

  2. Hover over the project you'll delete, then select the Options icon > Delete > DELETE PROJECT

From the project workspace

  1. Find and open the project you'll delete by using the search bar or project pipeline to get to the project workspace

  2. Select the three-dot icon > Delete Workspace

When a project can't be deleted

There are a few conditions under which a project can't be deleted:

  • Contains a file on which a payment has been made, so the project will need to be archived instead

  • The person attempting to delete isn't the project owner. Only the owner of the project can delete it, so consider reaching out to them to delete or archive the project.
