How to use the Activity tab to keep track of your active automations

Updated this week

The Activity tab gives you a birds’ eye view of all of your automations’ runs–each instance of an automation triggered in a project. We’ll cover how to use the Activity tab to keep track of your automation runs below.

📚 Tip

This article covers Automations 2.0, HoneyBook's new automations builder with conditional logic, 3rd party app integrations, and more. Learn more about Automations 2.0 here.

Access the Activity tab

  1. From your top navigation bar, click Automations

  2. Select the Activity tab

Navigate the Activity tab

Once you’re in the Activity tab, you’ll see a number of filters and columns. Each row represents a unique automation run.

Filters

Use filters to hone in on the exact automation runs you'd like to view.

  • Status: Select the Status drop-down > select the automation status(es) you'd like to show

    • Automation runs with only the selected status(es) will appear

  • Automation name: Select the Automation name drop-down > select the automations that you'd like to show

    • Automation runs for only the selected automation(s) will appear

  • Project name > Select the Project name drop-down > select the projects with active automations you'd like to show

    • Automation runs for only the selected project(s) will appear

Columns

Understand what each column means to get the most out of the Activity tab.

  1. Run start: The date and time (from your device’s local time) that the automation started in the project

  2. Project name: The name of the project in which the automation started

  3. Automation name: The name of the automation, as set in your Automations tab

  4. Current step: The step that the automation is currently on in the project

  5. Run status: The status of the automation run in the project

    1. Completed: All automation steps have successfully completed in the project

    2. Error: There was an error with the automation in the project

    3. Canceled: The automation was canceled for the project

    4. In progress: The automation is in progress in the project

View or cancel an automation run

You can also view or cancel an automation run in a project from the Activity tab. To do so:

  1. Locate the run from the Activity tab > click the three dot icon

  2. Select either:

    1. View run: Will open a detailed view of the automation run in the project

    2. Cancel run: Will cancel the run in the project and any future steps
