Updated yesterday

Understanding your finances is a major key to your business’s success. Keeping tabs on your project payments, spending, and your different bank accounts and credit cards can all be done from the Finance Overview page.

📣 Note

The Finance Overview page is only intended to inform you of your finances and is not financial advice. Consider consulting with your financial advisor before making any decisions with your business’s finances.

Get to the Finance Overview page

While your Finance Overview page should be your starting point to review your finances, it isn’t where you first land when logging into your account. Here’s how to get there:

From the top navigation bar, select Finance > select Overview

The sections below will give you more detail on the different parts of your Finance Overview page.

HoneyBook payments graph

The payments graph includes all of your payments that are processed in HoneyBook, broken down by whether they’re paid, overdue, or upcoming.

📚 Tip

All non-upcoming payments, regardless of whether they come from booked files (files with a signed contract or an invoice with at least one completed payment) will appear here. If a file has an overdue payment but isn’t from a booked file, that payment can also appear here.

Hover over a month’s bar to see a breakdown of payments for that month.

Use the time filter to pick a different time frame to view.

Select View payments to get sent to the Payments page. From that page, get more info on your paid and outstanding payments.

Financial tracker

This section is where you can:

  • Link your external accounts and cards to HoneyBook through Plaid, a third-party that uses end-to-end data encryption to ensure that your info remains secure

  • View the balances of your external accounts and cards all in one place

  • Give your linked bank accounts and cards nicknames to tell them apart
