How to create, manage, and apply project tags

Updated over a week ago

For simplified project management, create and apply project tags. You can use tags to easily filter through and group projects.

📣 Note

This feature is currently in Alpha and available only to select users.

Manage your tags

1. From any page, click your profile photo in the top right corner of your screen > select Company Settings from the menu.

2. Select Preferences.

3. By Tags, select Edit.

4. The tag editor will open in a pop-up. From here, you can:

  • Create a new tag: Click the plus (+) sign > enter the tag name > select a color > click Create

  • Edit an existing tag: Hover over the tag in question > click the pencil icon > enter a new name and/or select a new color > click Save

  • Delete a tag: Hover over the tag in question > click the trash can icon > select Yes, Delete to confirm

📚 Tip

You might consider creating tags for project status (e.g. “Urgent,” “On hold”), location (e.g. “Virtual,” “Live”), and more.

Once you’re finished making changes, be sure to click Done.

Filter projects by tags

📚 Tip

This is a great tool to use if you need to take a bulk action (e.g. send a bulk email) with all projects that have a specific tag. You can filter by tag first, then take that action!

1. From your HoneyBook home page, click the Projects tab.

2. Click into the pipeline stage that you’d like to filter projects by, or remain in the Active bucket to filter through all active projects.

3. Select Filter by tag.

4. Check off the tag(s) that you’d like to filter by.

Only projects with that tag(s) applied will appear. To remove the filter, just click X.
