Transfer money out of HoneyBook Balance account

Send money directly to other accounts to pay employees and vendors, or to your other bank accounts

To pay for expenses like salaries or invoices, you can directly transfer funds to external accounts. Keep in mind when transferring funds that:

  • Daily transfer limit: $10,000 USD

  • Monthly transfer limit: $100,000 USD


Transfer money

You can’t cancel a transfer once it's started, so make sure you're sending the correct amount to the correct recipient before you finalize your transfer.

  1. In the top navigation menu, select Finance > Balance

  2. Select TRANSFER

  3. Choose One-time transfer or Recurring transfer

  4. Select an existing transfer recipient, or add a new one

    1. You can add new recipients at the bottom of the dropdown menu

    2. The first time you transfer money out of HoneyBook Balance, you must add the bank you linked in your HoneyBook account settings as the first transfer recipient. After that, you can add whoever should receive your transfer.

  5. Select NEXT

  6. If needed, confirm the recipient's email is correct, then select CONFIRM DETAILS

  7. Enter the transfer's amount and reason for transferring, then select NEXT

  8. Review the transfer details, then select VERIFY YOUR IDENTITY

  9. Enter the two-factor authentication (2FA) code, then select VERIFY YOUR IDENTITY

  10. Select DONE

The money transferred will land in the recipient's account within 2–3 business days. If the funds aren’t received in that time frame, contact support by selecting the Question Mark icon in the bottom-right corner.


Add new transfer recipient

📣 Note

You can’t edit or delete recipient information. If a recipient's information changes, you should add their new information as a new recipient.

  1. In the top navigation menu, select Finance > Balance

  2. Select TRANSFER

  3. Choose One-time transfer or Recurring transfer

  4. Under the Select recipient dropdown, select Add recipient +

  5. Enter the requested information, like the recipient's bank account and routing numbers

    1. Take extra care when entering the recipient's information, and double-check that the numbers you've entered are correct before going to the next step

  6. Select ADD RECIPIENT

  7. Continue on to transfer money to the new recipient

Send money to vendors faster and easier by transferring funds from the mobile app.

  1. From the bottom navigation menu, tap Tools > Balance

  2. At the top of your screen, tap the 3-dot menu icon > Transfer Money

  3. Enter the 6-digit verification code sent to your phone, then tap Next

  4. Select a transfer recipient

    1. You can’t add new recipients from the app

  5. If needed, confirm the recipient's email is correct, then select Confirm Details

  6. Enter the transfer's amount and reason for transferring, then select Next

  7. Review the transfer details, then select Verify Your Identity

  8. Enter the two-factor authentication (2FA) code, then select Verify Your Identity

  9. Select Done
