If you're looking to send a brochure that HoneyBook already updated for you, you'll start in your My Templates page.

  1. From the top navigation menu, select Tools > select My Templates

    1. You can find your original templates in the Legacy Files tab of your templates page

  2. Select the Services filter

  3. Open the template you want to send

  4. From here, update the services or other parts of the smart file

Once you're done, learn how to share a smart file.

Note

If you want to create a brochure smart file from scratch, you'll want to include a service block. Learn more about building smart files. You can also refer to HoneyBook's template gallery to get inspiration or a starting point for your own brochures.

Legacy brochure files vs. smart files

Just as you could with legacy brochure files, you can create brochures with smart files that showcase your services and allow clients to select the items, packages, or services they'd like to purchase from you.

When creating a brochure, smart files will allow you all the same options as legacy files, including the ability to:

  • Add services

  • Add images and text

  • Add questions

  • Customize how clients can select services (make selection required, allow multiple selections, allow quantity adjustments, make services view-only, etc.)

  • Add multiple service selection sections (for example, a section to select a package, and a separate section to select add-ons)

  • Automatically draft a follow-up invoice/proposal based on the client's selections

What's new with smart files?

You can create a smart file that combines multiple elements of your process, such as service selection, invoice, and contract. Plus, you have the option to customize the file's appearance with branding options and add more content. Alternatively, you can also send a simplified smart file that includes only a few actions, similar to your traditional brochure files.
