Find out how to add, edit, and remove clients, collaborators, or team members from a project using the mobile app.

To communicate with clients and vendors, add them as participants to your project. You can do this on the app by providing their email address and other contact information. Adding a participant gives them access to all messages and files within the project workspace. If needed, you can also remove a participant from the project with the app.

All participants in the project will receive all the emails you send and files you share for the project. If you want separate lines of communication, create another workspace within the project and add the specific participants there.


Add a participant to a project

Once completed, the new participant will get access to the project workspace. Any additional permissions will depend on what kind of participant they are and what their role is.

  1. From the bottom navigation menu, select Projects

  2. Find and select the project you'll add participants to

    1. The project pipeline at the top of your screen can help filter the project list

  3. Next to the project name, select the triple-dot icon

  4. Select Add participant

  5. Select whether you'll add a client, collaborator, or team member > select Continue

    1. If you're prompted, add any additional participant info > select Save


Remove a participant from a project

Once you remove this contact, they will lose access to the project workspace and its files. They will also stop receiving any further HoneyBook communication related to this workspace.

  1. From the bottom navigation menu, select Projects

  2. Find and select the project you'll add participants to

  3. Tap the Details tab

  4. Tap the participant you'll remove from the project > select Remove from project

  5. Confirm you want to remove the participant by tapping Yes, remove

๐Ÿ“ฃ Note

If this person is part of multiple workspaces, removing them using the above process will only remove them from the workspace you are currently viewing. They will still have access to other workspaces until you remove them from each one individually.


Edit participant info from a project

  1. From the bottom navigation menu, select Projects

  2. Find and select the project you'll edit participant info from

    1. The project pipeline at the top of your screen can help filter the project list

  3. Tap the Details tab

  4. Tap on the participant you'll edit info for > tap Edit

  5. Make your changes > select Save
