Understand taxable amount in reports

When you download financial reports from HoneyBook, you might notice a column for taxable amount. This column reflects how much of each payment is subject to tax based on your invoice setup.

How it’s calculated

(full payment amount - payment tax) × taxable percent of total file value

To calculate the taxable percent of total file value, HoneyBook uses:

invoice total taxable amount / invoice subtotal

This ensures each payment is accurately attributed based on what parts of the invoice were marked as taxable.

📚 Tip

  • Taxable = line items or packages marked as “Taxed” on your invoice

  • Non-taxable = items that were left unchecked (not taxed)

This breakdown allows you to confidently determine how much of your income is taxable for reporting or accounting purposes.
