Setting this up takes about a minute. You sign in with your own HoneyBook login and approve what the assistant is allowed to do. There's no setup key and nothing to configure.
Before you start
You'll need:
Your HoneyBook login
An account with the AI assistant or LLM you're connecting
Connect in Claude
In Claude, open the left sidebar, then select Customize > Connectors
Find HoneyBook, then select Connect
Sign in with your HoneyBook account when prompted
Review the permissions screen, then select Authorize access
That's it. Ask Claude something about your business to check that it worked, like "What projects do I have booked this month?"
Connect in another AI assistant
The connector works with any AI tool that supports the same open standard (MCP). The exact menus differ from tool to tool, but the pattern is always the same. Find where the tool lets you add a connector or an integration, paste in the HoneyBook connector address below, and sign in with your HoneyBook account.
https://mcp.api.honeybook.com/mcp
You'll be sent to HoneyBook to sign in and approve access, exactly like you would in Claude. If the tool asks you for an API key or a token, you're in the wrong spot. The connector uses your HoneyBook login, not a key.
Disconnect at any time
In Claude, open the left sidebar, then select Customize > Connectors
Find and select HoneyBook
Select Disconnect > Disconnect
In another AI assistant: Remove the HoneyBook connector wherever you added it
Access stops right away. Nothing in your HoneyBook account changes. Disconnecting closes the door, that's all.
If something doesn't work
The sign-in screen won't let you through: Check that you're signing in with the HoneyBook account you actually meant to connect. If you manage more than one, sign out of HoneyBook in your browser first, then try again.
The assistant says it can't reach your data: Make sure the connector is still connected. Some tools drop the connection after a long stretch of inactivity, and reconnecting is the same quick flow.
It can't find a specific project or client: Try using the name exactly as it appears in HoneyBook. If the record is archived, say so, since archived records aren't always included by default.
It stops partway through a big request: Very large requests can run out of time. Ask for a smaller slice, like one month or one client, then build up from there.
