Use follow-up suggestions to re-engage past leads

How to use HoneyBook AI's follow-up suggestions to quickly get in touch with old leads

HoneyBook AI will identify and let you know when a lead has grown cold. Then, it will provide a recap of past interactions and a context-aware email draft to get back in touch with the contact. No manual work needed to comb through contacts and projects and re-engage them one-by-one.


What contacts will HoneyBook AI generate follow-up suggestions for?

HoneyBook AI will provide follow-up suggestions for unconverted leads that it determines have potential to book.

Unconverted leads: Contacts that have been inactive (i.e., no tracked activity such as emails or file sends) for 3+ months and were never converted into a booked client (no contract signed or invoice paid).


Adjust follow-up suggestion settings

  1. Hover over your company logo in the bottom left corner of your screen > select Company settings

  2. Select HoneyBook AI

  3. Toggle Follow-up suggestions ON or OFF


How to use follow-up suggestions

Filter on your contacts page

Filtering on your contacts page will give you a complete view of follow-up suggestions in real time.

  1. From the navigation menu, select Contacts

  2. Click the Follow-up suggestions filter and make sure it's set to Yes

  3. All contacts that HoneyBook AI has identified as unconverted leads will appear. These suggestions will appear in real time (as HoneyBook AI identifies them). From here, you can:

    1. Hover over Follow up? to view more AI-generated details about your relationship with the contact and past communication

    2. Click on the contact’s name to be brought to the contact workspace, where the AI-generated follow-up draft will be visible. From here, you can edit, send, rate, or discard the draft

Notification

Every Wednesday, you’ll receive a notification in your notification center (under the bell icon) with any AI follow-up suggestions.

Remove a suggestion

There are three places that you can remove a follow-up suggestion:

  • From the notification (click Remove suggestion)

  • From your Contacts page (click the three dot icon by the contact > Remove suggestion)

  • From the contact workspace (click Remove suggestion)

Clicking "Remove suggestion" removes the label from the contact but keeps the draft follow-up email.

If a suggestion isn’t removed manually and no follow-up email is sent, it will expire automatically after 30 days.
