HoneyBook AI identifies and lets you know when a lead has grown cold or has been unresponsive. It includes personalized AI-generated follow-up drafts that are ready to send, based on past interactions with a lead or client. No manual work is needed to comb through and re-engage projects and contacts.
HoneyBook AI doesn’t send suggestions for every lead. Instead, it scans your leads and highlights the ones most worth following up with, so recommendations feel smart, intentional and focused on re-engagement opportunities. Here are the main types of leads it looks for:
Unconverted leads: Contacts who haven’t engaged with you for more than 3 months and never booked (no signed contract or payment)
Unresponsive leads: Contacts who inquired or replied, but haven’t answered your last message for more than 3 days
How to use follow-up suggestions
Filters on your Contacts page for unconverted leads
From the navigation menu, select Contacts
Select + Add filter > Follow-up suggestions > Yes
All contacts that HoneyBook AI has identified as unconverted leads will appear. These suggestions appear in real time, as HoneyBook AI identifies them. From here, you can:
Hover over Follow up? by the contact name to select Review suggestion, where you’ll be brought to the contact workspace, where an AI-generated follow-up draft will be visible. From here, you can edit, send, rate, or discard the draft.
Filters on your Projects page for unresponsive leads
From the navigation menu, select Projects
Select + Add filter > Follow-up suggestion > Yes
All projects that HoneyBook AI has identified as containing contacts classified as unresponsive leads will appear. These suggestions appear in real time, as HoneyBook AI identifies them. From here, you can:
Hover over Follow up? by the project name to select Review suggestion, where you’ll be brought to the project, where an AI-generated follow-up draft will be visible. From here, you can edit, send, rate, or discard the draft.
📚 Tip
You can create a custom view on your Projects page with the Follow-up suggestion filter, so your suggestions are quickly accessible through a view.
Notification center
For unconverted leads: Every Wednesday, you’ll receive a notification in your notification center (by selecting the bell icon) with any AI follow-up suggestions
For unresponsive leads: Every day excluding weekends, you’ll receive a notification in your notification center (by selecting the bell icon) with any AI follow-up suggestions
For both types of leads, notifications are only sent when there are new suggestions to share. HoneyBook won’t keep sending reminders about existing suggestions after they've surfaced for the first time.
Remove follow-up suggestions
There are several places where you can remove a follow-up suggestion:
From your Projects page: Select the three dot icon by a project > Remove suggestion
From your Contacts page: Select the three dot icon by a contact > Remove suggestion
Selecting Remove suggestion will remove the label from the contact, but keep the follow-up email draft. If a suggestion isn’t manually removed and no follow-up email is sent, it’ll expire automatically after 30 days.
From the contact workspace: Select Remove suggestion
Adjust settings for follow-up suggestions
From the navigation menu, select your company logo > Company settings
Select AI Preferences
Turn Follow-up suggestions on or off
