Delete a project

How to permanently delete projects from your account.

Updated over a month ago

Deleting a project will permanently remove the workspace, as well as all files and communication that are housed in it. Only use this option if you're sure there's nothing in the project you need to save. Consider archiving projects instead, which will remove the projects from your Active Projects list but keep the information accessible in your account.

If you do wish to permanently delete a project, follow the steps below.

From the project pipeline

  1. From the top navigation menu, select Projects

  2. Hover your cursor over the project you'll delete > select the three dot icon > select Delete

From the project workspace

  1. Find and open the project you'll delete by using the search bar or using the project pipeline to get to the project workspace

    1. If the project has multiple workspaces, from the right menu, be sure to open the correct related workspace you're deleting

  2. Select the three dot icon at the top of the right menu > select Delete Workspace

When a project can't be deleted

There are a few conditions under which a project cannot be deleted:

  • Contains a file on which a payment has been made (the project will need to be archived instead)

  • Person attempting to delete is not the project owner (only the owner of the project can delete it; consider reaching out to them to delete or archive the project instead)
