How to take and manage project notes

Record meeting notes, jot down important pieces of info, and keep track of any inspiration that comes to you.

Take notes about your projects directly within HoneyBook. Record meeting notes, jot down important pieces of info, and keep track of any inspiration that comes to you without having to keep track of what’s written where.


Create a new project note

  1. Find and open project you'd like to add a note to

    1. You can view your full list of projects from the the Projects tab, or use the search bar

  2. Once in the project, select the Notes tab

  3. Select Add a note

  4. Create your note. You can:

    1. Add a title

    2. Add and format text

    3. Add an image by clicking the photo icon

    4. Select Add to a meeting below the note’s title > select the meeting to add the note to a meeting

  5. Your changes will save automatically as you go. Click X when you're done

Your note will be linked to the project you’re working in, and will appear in the project's Notes tab. You can edit your note at any time by returning to it and making changes.


Choose if your client can view the project note

By default, clients cannot view project notes, but you can adjust this on a note-by-note basis.

  1. Hover over the note in question and click the three dot icon

  2. Depending on how the note is configured, select either Make visible to clients or Make visible only to team


Duplicate or delete a project note

  1. Hover over the note in question and click the three dot icon

    1. Duplicate the note by selecting the three dot icon > Duplicate

    2. Delete the note by selecting the three dot icon > Delete > Delete Note to confirm
