HIPAA compliance and HoneyBoook

Why HoneyBook isn't compliant with HIPAA and which tools you should check with to find out if they're HIPAA compliant.

Updated over a week ago

Currently, HoneyBook itself is not HIPAA compliant. To be HIPAA compliant, there are many regulations and certifications that are required. Typically, the only companies who are HIPAA compliant service the medical and healthcare industries. Since HoneyBook’s product is not targeted to those industries, this is not something that's prioritized. HoneyBook will consider obtaining this certification if this targeting changes.

If you are using a 3rd party integration (e.g., Zoom, Google Meet) to communicate, they may be HIPAA compliant. Reach out to the tool's provider to find out.

If the tool is HIPAA compliant, that compliance would not extend to email integrations as those would be pulled into the activity feed within HoneyBook.
