Customize your lead sources

Track where your leads are coming from by customizing your lead sources.

Updated today

HoneyBook gives you a default list of lead sources to start with, but you can change or add to it based on how your clients usually find you.

Once your lead sources are set up, you can:

  • Add them as options in your contact and lead forms (so clients can tell you how they found you)

  • Manually update the lead source for any project

This helps you understand which channels bring in the most business.

Edit your lead source list

  1. From the navigation menu, select Settings > Company settings

  2. Select the Preferences tab

  3. In the Company organization & data section, select the pencil icon by Lead sources

  4. From here, you can:

    • Add a new lead source by selecting + Add Source

      • You can add up to 23 custom lead sources

    • Edit a lead source list by hovering over it > selecting the pencil icon that appears > entering a new name

    • Delete a lead source by hovering over it > selecting the trash can icon

  5. Select Save Changes

The changes will be saved to your lead source list. If you've added a new lead source, it will be available for selection and tracking moving forward. If you edited/renamed a lead source, all projects tied to that lead source will update to the new name.
