Customize your lead sources

Adjust your lead source options to best describe where projects are coming from

Updated over a week ago

Customize your lead sources to track where your business is coming from and identify the most effective channels to connect with new clients. HoneyBook supplies a starter list of commonly-used lead sources, but you can adjust this list to fit your needs.

Once you've customized your lead sources, you can include them as options in your contact and lead forms, allowing your customers to select how they heard about you. You can also manually update the lead source for each project.

Edit your lead source list

  1. From the navigation menu, select Settings > Company settings

  2. Select the Preferences tab

  3. In the Company organization & data section, select the pencil icon by Lead sources

  4. From here, you can:

    1. Add a new lead source by selecting + Add Source

      1. You can add up to 23 custom lead sources

    2. Edit a lead source list by hovering over it > selecting the pencil icon that appears > entering a new name

    3. Delete a lead source by hovering over it > selecting the trash can icon

  5. Select Save Changes

The changes will be saved to your lead source list. If you've added a new lead source, it will be available for selection and tracking moving forward. If you edited/renamed a lead source, all projects tied to that lead source will update to the new name.

Where lead sources appear in HoneyBook

Lead sources show in the Only visible to you section of projects.

Lead sources also appear in your Leads Report, so you can better understand where your clients are coming from.
