New and Improved: June 2025

What's new at HoneyBook for June 2025

Updated this week

This month, we built new features that were all requested by our members. As part of the HoneyBook Member Awards, the winners joined our product, engineering, and design teams for a hackathon that helped turn their ideas into reality.

Trigger automations based on tags

Prompt automations to start running based on your project tags to create highly targeted workflows. You can build automations for specific tags such as “ghosted,” “summer wedding,” or anything else to create hyper-tailored, automated client experiences.

This update is available only on Automations 2.0, our new automations builder. Haven't switched to Automations 2.0 yet? Request to switch with our Support team: click the question mark icon “?” on any page and chat in “Talk to a person."

Filter reports by project types and tags

Get business insights easier than ever with the ability to filter your HoneyBook reports by project type and tag. You can quickly see which project types and services perform best without any manual number crunching.

See when a client inquiry conflicts with an existing project date

Avoid double bookings with a new notification. When a lead inquires about a date that conflicts with an existing project, the email notification you get about the new inquiry will include a heads up.

“Add to calendar” link in confirmation emails

Good news for reducing client no-shows: an “Add to calendar” link is now automatically included in your session confirmation emails. These links make it easier for clients to add meetings to their calendars as soon as they’re confirmed.

Open files in a new tab

Stay focused without losing your place–now, you can open smart files from the project workspace in new tabs or windows.

Receive an email when clients approves changes in smart files

We’ve added a new email notification that lets you know when clients approve changes made to smart files. Now, you’ll never have to wonder or manually check for updates.

Edit subject lines for session email reminders

You’re no longer locked into the subject line “Your upcoming session” for meeting reminder emails. With this update, you can further customize correspondence by editing session reminder subject lines to whatever resonates most with your clients.

Customize default project names

Adjust the default project name format to fit the needs of your business. Choose from a few options under your company settings: [event date] project, [client name] event, and more. This setting is adjusted under your Preferences.

Links open in a new tab from the client portal

When your clients are in the client portal, any links shared there will now open in a new tab. This enhancement allows clients to explore additional content without losing their place in the portal.

“Copy link” added to main dropdown menu in smart files

Share files even faster with a new “Copy link” option under the three dot icon in your smart files.

Show date when file was submitted

Get a better pulse on when clients took action on their files: file submission dates are now displayed. With this update, you can easily identify when questionnaires and other documents were completed by your clients.

New features are rolled out in batches to ensure steady deployment and might not be instantly accessible. Feel free to contact our Support team if you have any questions
