Transfer money out of your HoneyBook Balance account

Send money directly to other accounts to pay employees and vendors, or to your other bank accounts.

Directly transfer funds to external accounts to pay for expenses (like salaries or invoices). Keep in mind when transferring funds that your daily transfer limit is $10,000 USD and your monthly transfer limit is $100,000 USD.


Transferring money

The first time you transfer money out of HoneyBook Balance, you must add the bank you linked in your HoneyBook account settings as the first transfer recipient. After that, you can add whoever should receive your transfer.

1. Go to the Finance tab in the top navigation menu > select Balance

2. Select Actions > select Transfer money

3. Select the transfer's recipient

a. You can add new recipients at the bottom of the drop-down menu

🔥 Stop

You cannot cancel a transfer once it's begun, so take your time to ensure you're sending the correct amount to the correct recipient before finalizing your transfer.

4. Confirm that the recipient's email is correct (if needed) > select Confirm Details

5. Enter the transfer's amount and reason for transferring > select Next

6. Review the transfer details > select Verify Your Identity

7. Enter the 2FA code > Select Verify Your Identity

8. Select Done

The money transferred will land in the recipient's account within 2–3 business days. If the funds are not received in that time, contact support by selecting the purple question mark ( "?" ) icon in the bottom-right corner of your screen.


Transfer money using the app

Send money to vendors faster and easier by transferring the funds from the app.

  1. From the bottom navigation menu, tap Tools

  2. Under Finance, tap Balance

  3. At the top of your screen, tap the triple-dot menu > tap Transfer money

  4. Enter the code sent to your phone into the 2-step verification prompt

  5. Select the transfer recipient

    1. You can’t add new recipients from the app

  6. Confirm that the recipient's email is correct (if needed) > select Confirm Details

  7. Enter the transfer's amount and reason for transferring > select Next

  8. Review the transfer details > select Verify Your Identity

  9. Enter the 2FA code > select Verify Your Identity

  10. Select Done

Adding a new transfer recipient

📣 Note

For now, you cannot edit or delete recipient info. If a recipient's info changes, you should add their new info as a new recipient.

1. Go to the Finance tab in the top navigation menu > select Balance

2. Select Actions > select Transfer money

3. Select Select recipient > select Add recipient

4. Enter the requested info, like the recipient's account and routing numbers

a. Take extra care when entering the recipient's info, and double-check that the numbers you've entered are correct before moving on to the next step

5. Select Add recipient

6. Continue on to transfer money to that new recipient
