Undo mistakes or redo actions when building a smart file

Find out how to undo a mistake you made or a decision you didn't like when building a smart file, and how to redo actions you've undone.

Updated over a week ago

The undo and redo buttons are available for edits made to a smart file during your current session. Once you leave the file and come back later, you won't be able to undo previous steps. Keep in mind that the undo button cannot retrieve permanently deleted files or projects, but you will receive a warning before deletion.

Undo an action

When building a smart file, select the undo icon at the bottom of your screen.

  • You can also use the CMD + Z (Mac) or CTRL + Z (Windows) keyboard shortcuts to undo an action

Redo an action

When building a smart file, select the redo icon at the bottom of your screen.

  • You can also use the CMD + Shift + Z (Mac) or CTRL + Shift + Z (Windows) keyboard shortcuts to redo an action
