Set the theme of a smart file

Choose a look for your smart files, a specific file, or apply your theme to templates.

Smart file themes set the visual tone for your brand. With this theme, you can set default colors and fonts for different elements such as main text, questions, buttons, and more. You can also override the styling on individual elements.


Set a company theme for your smart files

When you set your company theme, new smart files you create will automatically use your chosen colors and fonts. Additionally, you can use these settings to customize existing templates, preserving the layout example while giving it your brand's look in just one click.

  1. Select your profile photo > Company Settings

  2. Find the "Company smart file theme" section > select Customize Company Theme

  3. Make adjustments to your company theme, like your font or button color

    1. Main font and color settings: This section sets the default font, font color, and background color for text sections. The selected highlight color will apply to buttons, hyperlinked text, and selector icons.

    2. Button settings: You can customize the appearance of buttons in your smart file by adjusting the font, font color, button size, and corner rounding.

    3. Question settings: Enhance the appearance of question fields in your smart file by modifying the font and size. Also, customize the input field by adjusting the color, border, warning text, and corner rounding.

  4. When you're done, select Save

Individual smart file themes can also be customized, so you can adjust their theme as needed.


Set a theme for a specific smart file

When you begin working on a smart file, it will use either your company's theme or the theme it had when you downloaded it from the Template Gallery.

  1. When working on a smart file, select the paint palette icon from the top menu

    1. You can also select Customize theme from the top of your Pages menu

  2. Make your adjustments

  3. Select Save


Apply your theme to another template

When using a template from the Template Gallery, the file theme will automatically adopt the colors and fonts of that template. You can quickly change the template's theme to adapt it to fit your own brand, however, when you're editing it.

  1. When working on a smart file, select the paint palette icon from the top menu

    1. You can also select Customize theme from the top of your Pages menu

  2. Select Apply Company Theme

  3. Select Yes, Apply

  4. Select Save
