Set up automatic reminder emails and questionnaires

Have HoneyBook send emails reminding clients to look at a file, that a project will begin, or to get your questions answered.

For emails you want to send in every project, HoneyBook can automatically send them for you. These emails might be to gather more info, remind the client to look at their contract, or remind them that the project will begin soon. HoneyBook refers to the automated emails for these actions as "action emails."

Here's what action emails you can have HoneyBook send for you:

  • Questionnaires

  • Reminders to look at a smart file (or legacy file)

  • Reminders that the project will begin soon

HoneyBook can also automatically expire legacy proposals and invoices 2 weeks after they're sent from this group of settings.

Set up automatic action email sends

  1. From the top navigation menu, select your profile photo > select Company settings

  2. Select the Preferences tab

  3. In the Actions section, toggle on what action emails you want to send

  4. Edit the settings for each active action email by selecting the pencil icon

    1. The options available to you depend on what action email you're editing, though most will ask you to pick an email template

    2. Any changes are automatically saved
