HoneyBook now lets you offer discounts directly through your lead forms. You can create a promo code, attach it to any lead form that includes an invoice, and let clients enter the code to see their discounted total before they pay.
How promo codes work
Create a code. Go to Settings → Company → Promo codes to create a new code. Each code is set as a percentage discount, from 1–99% off the invoice total.
Attach it to a lead form. Codes are tied to specific lead forms that have an invoice attached. You choose which forms a code applies to when you set it up (and you can change this later).
Turn on code entry. Promo-code entry is a setting on the form's invoice. Once it's turned on, clients filling out that form will see a field to enter a promo code.
📚 Tip
You can attach the same promo code to multiple lead forms, so you don't need to create a separate code for each one.
The client experience
When promo-code entry is turned on for a lead form's invoice, a client filling out that form can:
Enter a valid promo code.
Watch the invoice reprice in real time to reflect the discounted total.
Pay the discounted amount.
If a client enters a code that's invalid, deactivated, or doesn't apply to that form, the discount won't be applied.
Managing your promo codes
Action | What happens |
Deactivate a code | The code stops working immediately. Clients can no longer enter it to get a discount. You can reactivate it at any time. |
Reactivate a code | The code starts working again, using its original discount and settings. |
Change which forms a code applies to | You can add or remove lead forms from a code at any time. This doesn't affect the discount amount. |
📣 Note
The code itself and its discount percentage are set when you create the code and can't be changed afterward. If you need a different discount amount, create a new code.
Things to know
Promo codes can only be applied through a lead form's invoice — they aren't currently available on smart files or invoices sent outside of a lead form.
A code's discount is fixed at creation. To offer a different percentage, you'll need to create a new code.
Deactivating a code doesn't delete it — your code history and its settings are preserved so you can turn it back on later.
