These insights work in conjunction with HoneyBook’s Expenses tool, which lets you track and assign costs to projects and can help you better understand how much you’re actually earning.

Whether you want a big-picture view of your finances or need to know what projects are the most profitable, HoneyBook gives you the clarity to make confident, data-driven decisions. In just a few steps, you’ll know exactly how your business is performing.

📣 Note

  • Viewing your cash flow and project profit are only available on the HoneyBook desktop site. These features are currently not supported in the mobile app, are in the process of being rolled out, and aren’t yet available to all members.

  • Your cash flow and project profit only show paid payments. They won’t forecast upcoming ones, like a payment scheduled in 2 weeks.

  • In order to view accurate project profit insights, you must add an expense using the Expenses tool and assign a project to it in the table

View your cash flow on the web

For a visual representation of how much your business is making a month, go to the “Cashflow” graph on your Finance Overview page. The bar graph is based on your paid payments minus expenses.

  1. Open the HoneyBook desktop site

  2. From the navigation menu, select Finance > Overview

  3. Filter your report by time frame

  4. To see net income, turn on Show net income

If you issue a refund to a client, the “Cashflow” graph will update to show the adjusted amount. However, the “HoneyBook payments” graph will continue to display the original amount, as that reflects the full payment you originally received.
