This article references Automations 2.0, HoneyBook's new automations builder. Haven't switched to Automations 2.0 yet? Learn more and request to switch here.
Under an automation triggerâs project type drop-down, youâll see the option Other:
If youâve checked this project type off (or âAll project typesâ), itâs important to understand what projects will be considered âOther.â
What projects will have the project type âOtherâ
Any new inquiries from a lead form or contact form that do not select a project type
This can happen if you donât include the linked project type question, or if you do not set the project type question as required in your form
Learn how to fix this here
Any new inquiry that chooses the âOtherâ project type
Any new inquiries from a contact form that auto-assigns the project type âOtherâ
New projects created from a scheduling link
Any project for which you've manually set the project type to "Other"
At the moment, this logic cannot be adjusted, but you can manually edit a projectâs project type.
How to manually edit a projectâs project type
If needed, you can manually edit a projectâs project type, under the project's Details.
Locate and open project in question: search using the search bar or navigate to the Projects tab to review your full list of projects
Once in the project workspace, select the Details tab
Under the project type drop-down, select the new project type
The new project type for the project will be set. Note that if you have automations configured for the new project type, and the other trigger criteria is met, the automations will start running in the project.
