HoneyBook updated its membership pricing and plans on February 4, 2025 to better reflect the value of the tools and features available to independent businesses. This article explains the current plans, how pricing changes affected existing and legacy members, and what to expect for billing, discounts, and feature limits going forward.

If you were already a HoneyBook member before February 4, 2025, your plan and pricing were updated automatically—no action was required.

Current HoneyBook plans and pricing

HoneyBook offers 3 membership tiers, available with monthly or annual billing:

What changed on February 4, 2025

Pricing updates for existing members

If you were an existing member before February 4, 2025:

Your price updated on your first billing date on or after February 4, 2025
You automatically received a 20% discount on the new rate for one year

If you don’t see the discount applied, contact our Support team to review your account by selecting the Question Mark icon on any HoneyBook page.

How billing works now

Monthly members: Price updated at the next billing cycle after February 4, 2025
Annual members: Price remained the same through the current term and updated at renewal, with the 20% discount applied
New members (after February 4, 2025): Joined at the new prices

Legacy plans and automatic migration

If you were on a legacy plan, your membership was automatically migrated on February 4, 2025 to the closest current plan. You can review your current plan details from the navigation menu by selecting your company logo > Company settings > Membership.

Legacy $9 Starter plan

The $9 Starter plan (briefly offered at $5) was a temporary plan introduced during the pandemic to support small businesses. While it shared many features with today’s Essentials plan, its pricing no longer reflected the scope of tools included.

As part of the February 4, 2025 changes:

The legacy $9 Starter plan was retired
Members were moved to the current Starter plan
Pricing aligned with the features now available

Members on this plan experienced a larger percentage increase due to the gap between legacy pricing and current plan value.

Feature limits for legacy members

To reduce disruption, legacy members retained access to certain features they were already using, even if those exceeded the limits of their new plan.

How limits are applied now

For features like lead forms, contact forms, team members, and companies, you are capped at either:

The maximum limit of your new plan, or
The total number you had active on February 4, 2025—even if that number exceeds the new plan’s limit

Example

If you were migrated to the Essentials plan, which allows 10 live lead forms, but you had 12 live lead forms active on February 4, 2025, you can continue to use up to 12.

You won’t be able to exceed that number unless you upgrade to a plan with higher limits.

If you cancel and later rejoin, the 20% existing member discount no longer applies
Downgrading plans doesn’t remove access to your account history or data
